SoccerMate (score and track soccer matches) App Reviews

Needs a little more

I like the concept of this app, but would also like to be able to track shots off target, assists, and the ability to stop the clock since our high school games do so.

Good idea, but needs assist tracking

Goals and shots tell but part of the story--there needs to be a way to track assists. Also, the tiny clock is useless when actually watching a match; as a coach I want to glance at the app to see the time, not squint and search for it. (Perhaps the clock overlays the field until the user needs to track something--a quick tap is not much effort to reduce it.) Basic functionality needed: assist tracking Dream functionality: substitution tracking Design issue: clock too small Design pet peeve: red/yellow card tracking, ugly as sin

Limited but decent

I was looking for something a bit more capable than this, but that might be my own fault. If all you want to keep track of are goals, shots on goal, and cards, then this is fine. If you want to keep track of assists, missed shots, crosses, etc., then youre going to be disappointed.

SoccerMate

This is a potentially great app, but you do need to be able to track assists, and to save a game, at least the stats of it. If you have more than one game a day (I have three kids playing, and coach) you have to delete the current game, before you can begin the new one. I think. I just bought and used it for the first time today.

Useful App

Very useful app. Latest version seems to have addressed several of the previous comments and concerns. Interface is easy to set up and use. Here are a few more items that would make this app 5 star: - Ability to differentiate shots on/off goal - Ability to track goalie saves - Ability to track corner kicks - Ability to track assists on goals - Ability to save game snapshots to review later as the shot and goal information is useful (once you start a new match, the previous match data is lost - you only have the e-mail summary which does not contain all of the detail) - Would be nice to add the team names to the e-mail summary as well as the items listed above

Nice and easy app

This is a good app for this that just want to track the game. Its good for people like me that just want stats. There are a couple of things that can be fixed to make it even better. - the ability to stop the timer (for injuries or other things) - the ability to say whether a shot was blocked or on goal (would help in keeping keeper saves) - the ability to override shots on goal that are put in by mistake. The first time I used the app, I had three shots on goal that I couldnt delete. - the ability to save games to bring up at a later time. - a way to assign assists to a goal.

Needs Fine Tuning

Its just ok. Cant get distance on shots right or close to goal without labeling it as a goal. Need to be able to edit all info before emailing.

Best I have found

I am a parent of a girl playing u11 soccer. This app is very simple to use once you understand how to track the goals. I have used it for a fall and spring season. It is great to have a record of when all goals were scored in the game, and who is putting shots on net. Its nice to have the screen shot attached to the email. I use to do a screen shot and send it as a seperate email. It would be nice to be able to check who scored the goal and then tocuh next who assissted the goal. If there was a simple way to track if a shot was on or off net that would be helpful. Right now I only track all shots on net. It would be nice to be able to store games, but I imagine that would cost a lot more to develop. I would rather keep the cost down and I just enter the stats into an excel spreadsheet after the match from my email. I know there are a lot more technical apps but for wanting to watch and enjoy the game while still keeping some of the most important stats I think this is by far the best user interface, easy to use and has all that I need.

Great concept but needs work.

App needs the ability to register assists and goal saves. It would also be nice to track a whole season and schedules, not just a game. The ability to save games and stats through out the season would be great. Icing on the cake: gps check in with Facebook and Twitter integration, to keep fans updated who couldnt make it. Overall its a very nice concept, and with some minor upgrades and updates it could be so much more.

Almost there

Would def get 5 stars if u could include assists and keeper saves on the next update. Cool app tho for any soccer manager! Thx.
